About Lucy

Lucy Ogletree

Canadian Folk Artist

Lucy is a Canadian folk artist who has developed her own unique style of expression. Her paintings are often whimsical and reflect a simpler life.

Lucy draws inspiration from memories of her childhood growing up near the small rural community of Thamesville, Ontario.

Her love for rural life, its seasons, its animals and the feeling of a simpler life give her paintings a charm that only comes when something is created from the heart.

Giving back is something that is close to Lucy’s heart. She is a volunteer with Canadian Aid for South Sudan (CASS). As part of her involvement with this organization she has traveled to Sudan several times to help run art workshops for children suffering from the effects of war.

Lucy also volunteers with the London Mental Health Promotions Committee and the Framing the Phoenix art show which is held every year during Mental Health Week.
